Jessica Abel is the author of Soundtrack and Mirror, Window, two comic collections culled from her comic book series, Artbabe, which won both the Harvey and Lulu Awards for Outstanding New Talent in 1997. Her novel La Perdida (Pantheon, 2006) won the Harvey Award for Outstanding New Series and was featured in the Best American Comics collection in 2006. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
