Jim Knight

Jim Knight has studied professional learning, successful teaching, and instructional coaching for more than two decades. He is the President of the Instructional Coaching Group and a Research Associate at the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning. Jim published the first paper on instructional coaching in The Journal of Staff Development, and his book, Instructional Coaching: A Partnership Approach to Enhancing Teaching (Corwin, 2007), popularized the concept. Jim co-authored Coaching Classroom Management (Pacific Northwest Publishing, 2010) and edited Coaching: Methods and Views (Corwin, 2009).
