Johanna Wright was born in Eugene, Oregon, and holds degrees in puppetry and children's literature. The Orchestra Pit is her first novel. Johanna has returned to Oregon after residing in Brooklyn, New York, where she spends her time writing, drawing, and looking for Bigfoot. Juniper, her daughter, and her musician husband live in Portland.
