John Porcellino was born in Chicago in 1968 and has spent over twenty-five years writing, painting, and publishing minicomics, comics, and graphic novels. His acclaimed self-published series King-Cat Comics, which he started in 1989 and continues to publish today, has influenced a generation of cartoonists. He resides in the state of Illinois.
