John Sweeney

John Sweeney is a BBC Panorama reporter who became a YouTube celebrity after losing his cool with a senior Scientology official. He spent twelve years with the Observer before joining the BBC in 2001, where he covered wars, revolutions, and turmoil in over sixty nations. Sweeny has received one Emmy, two Royal Television Society Awards, one Radio Academy Award, the What the Papers Say Journalist of the Year Prize, an Amnesty International award, and the Paul Foot Award over his career. He's the author of eight books, and one of his favorite pastimes is falling off his bike on the way home from the pub.
