Jon Meacham is the author of the best-selling books Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power and American Lion, a Pulitzer Prize-winning biography of Andrew Jackson, as well as American Gospel and Franklin and Winston. He works at Random House as an executive editor. He and his wife live in Nashville and Sewanee, Tennessee, with their three children.
