Jon  Young

Jon Young is a pioneer in the field of wildlife tracking and bird communication. He's been studying animal communication for 35 years and has been mentored by Tom Brown Jr, a well-known tracker, as well as an African tribe elder. Jon is the originator of the Shikari Method for data collecting, which is utilized by the USFWS, and the 8 Shields Cultural Mentoring System, a model that has inspired over 100 environmental programs in communities across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Jon has given over 1,000 public talks and coached many of his own students. Jon resides in Santa Cruz, California, with his wife and six children.
