Ph.D. Joseph Burgo holds credentials as a marital and family therapist and a clinical psychologist, and has been practicing psychotherapy for almost 30 years. He graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree and went on to California Graduate Institute in Los Angeles for his master's and PhD. He is also a graduate psychoanalytic who has served on the board of directors, as an officer, and as an instructor for an International Psychoanalytic Association component organization. He now publishes the popular blog After Psychotherapy, in which he tackles personal growth challenges from a psychodynamic standpoint.
