Joseph Tychonievich was the nursery manager at Arrowhead Alpines, a top rock garden nursery in Fowlerville, Michigan, and studied horticulture, plant breeding, and genetics at Ohio State University. In addition, he serves as the editor of Rock Garden Quarterly. He was named one of six young horticulturists shaping the way America plants by Organic Gardening Magazine.
