Joshua Bloch

Professor Joshua Bloch teaches at Carnegie Mellon University. He previously worked at Google as the lead Java architect, Sun Microsystems as a distinguished engineer, and Transarc as a senior systems designer. He oversaw the development of a number of Java platform innovations, including the JDK 5.0 language upgrades and the Java Collections Framework. He is a Ph.D. holder. with a B.S. in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University.
