Julie Orringer is the award-winning author of two New York Times best-selling books: The Invisible Bridge, a novel, and How to Breathe Underwater, a collection of short tales. The Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Cullman Center at the New York Public Library, the MacDowell Colony, and Harvard's Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study have all awarded her fellowships.
