Perkins traveled to New York City from Philadelphia to study Dramatic Writing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts' Rita and Burton Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing and with the Writers Guild of Great Britain in London, UK. Perkins is now writing for DC Comics, as well as working on independent projects with her writing partner, Mike Johnson. She resides in the Colorado Rockies with her partner, Stephanie, and travels to the coasts frequently.
