Karen Haber is the author of eight books, including Star Trek: Voyager - Bless the Beasts; writer of Science of the X-Men; and editor of J.R.R. Tolkien's Hugo-nominated essay anthology. Mediations on Middle-earth, by J.R.R. Tolkien. Her short stories have appeared in Asimov's Science Fiction, The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, and a number of anthologies. She writes book reviews for Locus magazine and profiles artists for publications such as Realms of Fantasy. Haber and her husband, Robert Silverberg, live in Oakland, California.

Robert Zohrab is a digital artist and designer from Australia whose work has been featured on book covers and corporate brochures. Among his clients are the Manta recording business, for which he designed album covers and advertising material, and ibooks, inc., for whom he provided cover images for new trade editions of Brian Aldiss's landmark Helliconia trilogy, among others.
