Karen Kaufman Orloff

Karen Kaufman Orloff is the author of several children's novels, including I Want a Iguana, I Want a New Room, and I Want to Go Home, all of which were inspired by her son's pet iguana, which grew to be almost four feet long and took over his room. She also contributes a hilarious family column to The Poughkeepsie Journal every other week. David Catrow is the illustrator of a number of picture books, including Patty Lovell's Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon and its sequel Have Fun, Molly Lou Melon; Karen Kaufman Orloff's I Want Iguana and its two companion books I Wish New Room and I Wanna Go Home; Alan Zweibel's Our Tree Called Steve; Kristyn Crow's The Middle Child Blues; and David Catrow's We the Kids: the Preamble to the He and his wife, Deborah, live in Ohio.
