Karyn D Hall
Karyn D.Hall, PhD, is the director of the Houston Dialectical Behavior Therapy Center and a DBT Trainer/Consultant for the Treatment Implementation Collaboration. She is a coauthor of The Power of Validation and serves on the National Education Alliance Borderline Personality Disorder (NEA.BPD) Board of Directors. She holds a doctorate in clinical child psychology, is a member of the Association of Behavior and Cognitive Therapy, and serves on Houston NAMI's education advisory group. SAVVY, Mindfulness Exercises, and The Emotionally Sensitive Person are among her works. She is the originator of the Houston-based Healing Hearts of Families conference.
She writes for Psychology Today and PsychCentral, and she was recently featured on The Learning Channel as an expert therapist in an overeating documentary. She also has a podcast, The Emotionally Sensitive Person, which can be found on iTunes.
