Katie is a self-described forensics nerd who graduated from the Police Academy. She has trained in Krav Maga, boxing, and gymnastics, lived in an off-grid, solar- and wind-powered house in the Rocky Mountains, rides horses, trains her three dogs, and scuba dives in warm areas. She has four Amazon Best Books of the Month awards, as well as an Amazon Best Book of the Year award. The first novel in her Rocky Mountain K9 Unit series, Run to Ground, was nominated for a 2017 RT Book Reviews Readers' Choice Award.
