Ken Haedrich

Ken Haedrich is the author of Pie: 300 Tried-and-True Recipes for Outstanding Homemade Pie, a superb pastry tome described by Melissa Clark in the New York Times and voted one of the 100 best cookbooks of the past 25 years by Cooking Light magazine. Home for the Holidays, which won an International Association of Culinary Professionals Cookbook Award, Dinner Pies, Country Baking, and Apple Pie are among his 12 other volumes. He's a regular contributor to Bon Appetit, Better Homes and Gardens, and Eating Well magazines, and he's the Dean of The Pie Academy (thepieacademy.com), an online resource for pie-making knowledge and legend. He is a native of New Jersey and a former Navy Seabee who now lives in Wilmington, North Carolina, with his wife.
