Nobel Laureate Kip Thorne, the Feynman Professor of Theoretical Physics Emeritus at Caltech, is the author of the best-selling books Black Holes and Time Warps and The Science of Interstellar. Thorne served as an executive producer on the film Interstellar, which was released in 2014. Thorne was awarded the Lewis Thomas Award for Writing on Science by Rockefeller University for bridging the gap between science and the humanities. He is a resident of Pasadena, California.
