Kristin Kimball lives in northern New York and works as a farmer and writer. Prior to farming, Kimball worked in New York City as a freelance writer, writing teacher, and literary agent's assistant. She and her husband Mark have owned Essex Farm since 2003, where they live with their two girls, and she is the author of The Dirty Life and Good Husbandry.
