Kyla Mayis is an illustrator, writer, and designer from Australia. Lotus Lane and Diary of a Pug are two early chapter book series she created and illustrated. She also illustrated the series The Sloth Life and The Underdogs. Kyla also makes animation in addition to books. She and her three girls reside on the seashore in Victoria, Australia.
