L. was always surrounded by people who knew what she desired. By the time she was in first grade, A.Taylor had already decided on a career as a writer. She was given a blinding insight as she stared at the customary exhortation to Spot (Run! Run! Run! Run, Spot, run! ), the usual exhortation to Spot (Run! Run! Run! Meanwhile, she completed her education, majored in mathematics, worked in a variety of occupations, married, and had two children.

As she returned to writing, she began with poetry and won the Minnesota Voices award for her collection Changing the Past. L.A. Taylor is the author of a variety of mystery novels (such as Footnote to Murder), fantasy and science fiction novels (such as Cat's Claw and Blossom of Erda), and short tales.
