Larissa Fasthorse

Larissa FastHorse (Sicangu Lakota Nation) is a writer/choreographer and co-founder of Indigenous Direction, the nation's foremost consulting firm for Indigenous arts and audiences, which just delivered the first national broadcast land acknowledgement for NBC's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. With The Thanksgiving Play, Larissa becomes the first Native American author to have a play in the top 10 most-produced list in American theatrical history. Larissa has won various accolades, including the MacArthur Genius Fellowship. She is now involved in film and television projects with Disney, NBC, and DreamWorks Animation. She and her husband, sculptor Edd Hogan, live in Santa Monica.
