Since 1990, Larry Collins has served as the captain of the central USAR Company of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. He has participated in numerous rescue operations across the world, including the collapse of the Pentagon after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and the Alfred P. Murrah Bridge. The bombing of the Murrah Building in Oklahoma City, as well as numerous natural calamities such as the earthquake in Northridge, California. Collins has received numerous valor awards for his outstanding service.
