Laura Rankin is the author of Ruthie and the (Not So) Teeny Little Lie, a Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor Book, and The Homemade Alphabet, a Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor Book. She has also illustrated a number of other children's books, including Deborah Underwood's A Balloon for Isabel. She is a resident of Easton, Maryland.
