Please Murder Me: The Uncensored Oral History of Punk, coauthored by Legs McNeil, is widely regarded as the definitive study on the subject. He is the editor-in-chief of Nerve and the founder of the landmark magazine that gave punk its moniker. He was previously an editor at Spin. Still Insatiable, Marilyn Chambers' comeback picture, was also written by McNeil. He's also the author of The Other Hollywood: The Uncensored Oral History of the Porn Film Industry, which will be released soon. He spends time in both New York and Los Angeles.
