In Augusta, Georgia, Luther McDaniel, Jr. was born. He entered in the military at the age of 18, after graduating from Richmond Academy High School, and served four years as a combat infantryman in the famed 82nd Airborne Division. He completed his military service in 1978 and decided to resume his study seven years later. He attended Augusta College for three years, earning a bachelor's degree in arts, and then went on to John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia, to get a doctorate in Jurisprudence. After several years of practicing law, old demons reappeared in Luther's life, compromising a hard-won career, and in desperation, he rediscovered an old gift, writing, for which he gave God sole credit.
In 2008, he received his first publishing contract, and in 2010, his debut novel, The Third Cross, was published. The novel was a huge success, and Luther had moved on to a new career. Dawn in the Darkness, his latest novel, will be released on March 15, 2018.
