Madeleine E. is a writer. Robins is a licensed actor combatant in rapier, quarterstaff, broadsword, and hand-to-hand combat, and has performed Shakespeare plays with combat for high schools and Renaissance festivals. Madeleine was born, raised, and educated in New York City, but she recently migrated to San Francisco with her husband (Emmy Award-winning sound editor Danny Caccavo) and two daughters. She wrote the New York Times Notable Book The Stone War, as well as other Regency romances, short stories, and the Miss Sarah Tolerance, Agent of Inquiry mystery series.
