From 1997 until 2001, Madeleine Albright served as the United States' sixty-fourth Secretary of State, the first woman to hold the position. She has also served on Congress Hill, on the National Security Council, and as the United States' ambassador to the United Nations. She has written many New York Times bestselling novels after leaving office. She divides her time between Washington, D.C., and Virginia.
