Margaret George

Margaret George

Margaret George is the author of several novels, including Henry VIII's Autobiography, Cleopatra's Memoirs, and Elizabeth I. Margaret was inspired to write historical fiction after reading a number of books in which Henry VIII was seen through the eyes of his opponents and victims. She wondered if there was another side to the story. She became resolved to let Henry speak for himself, and it took her fifteen years, 300 books of background reading, three trips to England to examine every extant building related with Henry, and five handwritten manuscripts to finally answer the question: What was Henry truly like? Her spouse and she live in Madison, Wisconsin.
