Mark Obmascik is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and the bestselling author of The Big Year and Halfway to Heaven, both of which were adapted into films. He was the lead writer for the Denver Post team that earned the 2000 Pulitzer Prize, and he won the 2009 National Outdoor Book Award for outdoor literature, the 2003 National Press Club Award for environmental journalism, and the 2003 National Press Club Award for environmental journalism. He and his wife, as well as their three sons, live in Denver.
