Meagan Spooner, a New York Times bestselling author, spent her childhood fantasizing of being an archaeologist, a marine scientist, or an astronaut, and spent every spare hour reading and writing. She earned a playwriting degree from Hamilton College in New York State. She presently lives and works in Asheville, North Carolina, but the lure of travel is too strong to ignore, and she has no idea how long she'll be there. She's also the coauthor of the award-winning Starbound Trilogy (These Broken Stars, This Shattered Planet, Their Fractured Light) and the Skylark Trilogy (Skylark, Shadowlark, Lark Ascending), as well as this reworking of Beauty and the Beast.
