Megan G Coles
Megan Gail Coles is a graduate of Memorial University's National Theatre School of Canada and is currently enrolled in the University of British Columbia's Master of Fine Arts program. Opt-Res is an opt-in program. Poor Cove Theatre Company is her co-founder and artistic director. She is currently writing on her first novel, House of Anansi (House of Anansi, 2017), as well as the Driftwood Trilogy of plays. Megan's first collection of short stories, Eating Habits of the Chronically Lonesome (Killick), won the BMO Winterset Prize, the ReLit Award, and the Margaret and John Savage First Book Award, as well as the Writers' Trust Five x Five prize.
Megan moved to St. John's from Savage Cove on the Great Northern Peninsula. She is also the artist-in-residence at the Arts and Culture Centre in St. John's.
