Michael Dante DiMartino

Michael Dante DiMartino is an American animator best known for co-creating, executive producing, and story editing the Nickelodeon animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. He was born in the Vermont town of Shelburne. Bryan Konietzko, with whom he co-created Avatar, was his professor at the Rhode Island School of Design. Mike worked at Film Roman for twelve years before Avatar, assisting in the production of King of the Hill, Family Guy, and Mission Hill, as well as his own animated short, Atomic Love.
