Michael J.Durant was a Chief Warrant Officer 4 when he retired from the army. He saw action in the Persian Gulf, Panama, and Kuwait, in addition to Operation Restore Hope in Somalia. Distinguished Service Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross with Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star with Valor Device, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, three Air Medals, POW/MIA medal, and Army Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters are among his honors.
