Michael  Paterniti

Michael Paterniti is a journalist, essayist, and the bestselling author of Driving Albert and The Telling Room, the latter of which NPR, Entertainment Weekly, and The Christian Science Monitor named one of the finest novels of the year. He has been nominated for the National Magazine Award eight times and has received an NEA grant and two MacDowell Fellowships. His work has appeared in a variety of publications, including The New York Times Magazine, National Geographic, Harper's, Outside, Esquire, and GQ, where he is a reporter. He is the co-founder of www.tellingroom.org, a children's storytelling center in Portland, Maine, where he lives with his wife and three children.
