Michelle Cox is the author of the Henrietta and Inspector Howard series, which has won numerous awards, as well as Novel Notes of Local Lore, a weekly blog dedicated to Chicago's forgotten citizens. She feels she may have lived in the 1930s and, having yet to come across a working time machine, has resorted to writing about it as a means of transporting herself back in time.
