Michelle Icard

Michelle Icard founded Athena's Way in 2004, a program that teaches girls how to navigate the challenging middle school social milieu. Shortly after, she added Hero's Quest for boys, and in 2011, she established MichelleintheMiddle.com, a website about how to parent middle school children. Around 10,000 kids have benefited from Athena's Way and Hero's Pursuit, which have been implemented in thirty schools across five states. More than 250 instructors have received training in order to apply the programs in their classrooms. Michelle is a frequent guest speaker at schools and parenting events, as well as the organizer of Right in the Middle, a conference for middle school girls and their mothers.

Michelle is also the founder of Mothers Meet Up, a parent discussion and support organization for middle school parents. She works with parents and teenagers one-on-one. Michelle has also authored curricula for national adolescent programs such as Girlology and Girls Rock the House. Read More chevron_right
