Michelle Slatalla, the editor in chief of Gardenista, founded and launched Remodelista's sibling site in 2012. Slatalla previously worked as a columnist for the New York Times, Time, and Real Simple, among other publications. She has published six books, five of which she co-wrote with her husband, Josh Quittner. Mill Valley, California is her home.
