Mike Gonzalez

Mike Gonzalez is a member of the Los Angeles T. The Heritage Foundation's Arredondo Senior Fellow on E Pluribus Unum in Washington, D.C. He worked as a journalist for nearly two decades, fifteen of them in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. He left journalism to work for the Bush administration, first as a speechwriter for SEC Chairman Christopher Cox and then as a speechwriter for the State Department's European Bureau, where he wrote speeches and op-eds. He has been writing on national identity, diversity, multiculturalism, assimilation, and nationalism, as well as foreign policy in general, at The Heritage Foundation since 2009.
