Min Jin Lee has received fiction fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation (2018) and Harvard University's Radcliffe Center for Advanced Study (2018-2019). Pachinko (2017) was a National Book Award nominee for fiction, a runner-up for the Dayton Literary Peace Prize, the winner of the Medici Book Club Prize, and one of the New York Times' Ten Best Books of 2017. Pachinko was a New York Times bestseller, as well as one of the BBC's and the New York Public Library's Ten Best Books of the Year, and a best foreign fiction pick for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
