Monica Gallagher

Monica Gallagher is a writer and illustrator who has worked on positive, feminist comics for over fifteen years. She's worked with Oni Press, Vertigo, Papercutz, and Valiant, in addition to self-publishing a number of mini-comics and volumes. Monica currently has two Webtoons series: Assassin Roommate (which received a Ringo award for Best Hero in 2018!) and BOO! Her most recent published book, Part-Time Princesses, was released by Oni Press and featured on YALSA's The Hub Blog in their Women In Comics: Princesses With a Twist post. She also co-wrote the first season of iHeart Radio's Lethal Lit (listed by the New York Times as A Fantastic Podcast of 2018!) and Comixology's The Black Ghost series with Alex Segura. Monica has also self-published the first volume of her webcomics series Bonnie N., which she kickstarted. Monica founded Bmore Into Comics in 2013, a series of short, one-day exhibits showcasing comics creators showing their work in local businesses throughout Baltimore, with the purpose of increasing interest in and reading comics.
