Naomi Ragen

Naomi Ragen is an American novelist who was born in New York and has lived and worked in Jerusalem for the past four decades. She is the author of multiple international bestsellers, an award-winning play, and a widely read Web site. Her writings retain a unique place in the Jewish library since she was an iconoclast, an Orthodox lady, and a fiercely outspoken campaigner for gender equality. Jephte's Daughter, her debut book, was named one of the top one hundred Jewish books of all time. The Covenant, The Ghost of Hannah Mendes, The Sacrifice of Tamar, and The Saturday Wife are among her other works.
