Natsume  Soseki

Natsume Soseki (1867-1916) is regarded as one of the greatest modern writers. He received his education at Tokyo Imperial University and was sent to England as a government scholar in 1900. His works, which include The Gate, I Am a Cat, Kokoro, and Sanshiro, are widely read in Japan, and modern authors continue to be affected by his oeuvre, which also includes The Gate, I Am a Cat, Kokoro, and Sanshiro.
