Neil Shubin is the author of the best-selling Your Inner Fish, which was named the best book of the year by the National Academy of Sciences in 2009. Shubin is associate dean of biological sciences at the University of Chicago, with degrees from Columbia, Harvard, and the University of California at Berkeley. He was inducted into the National Academy of Sciences in 2011.
