Nick  Bostrom

Nick Bostrom is a Professor of Philosophy at Oxford University and the founding Director of the Future of Humanity Institute and the Oxford Martin School's Programme on the Effects of Future Technologies. Anthropic Bias (Routledge, 2002), Global Catastrophic Risks (Ed., OUP, 2008), and Human Augmentation (Ed., OUP, 2009) are among his 200 publications. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow of the British Academy and had taught at Yale. Bostrom is a physicist with a background in computational neuroscience, mathematical logic, and philosophy.
