Padma Lakshmi

Padma Lakshmi is the Emmy-nominated host of Bravo's highly rated and critically praised Top Chef, as well as the author of three cookbooks and cuisine titles: Simple Exotic, Tangy, Tart, Hot & Sweet, and the Enclyclopedia of Spices and Herbs. In addition to her culinary accomplishments, Lakshmi has contributed to Vogue, Gourmet, and Harper's Bazaar (UK and US) publications, as well as writing a syndicated fashion and food column for the New York Times. Planet Food and Padma's Passport, as well as other programs in the United States and internationally, are among her television hosting credits. Lakshmi is a global style icon and the first internationally successful Indian supermodel. She also has her own businesses, the Padma Collection and Easy Exotic. The Endometriosis Foundation of America was founded by Lakshmi.

Since 2009, the organization has pushed for early diagnosis, supported research, and increased awareness of this severe chronic condition that affects over 190 million women globally in the medical community and the general public. Her daughter and she live in New York City.
