Pat Ogden, PhD, (she/her) is a pioneer in somatic psychology and the founder of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute. Dr. Ogden is a clinician, consultant, international lecturer, and the first author of two seminal books in somatic psychology: Trauma and the Body: A Sensorimotor Approach to Psychotherapy (2015) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy: Treatments for Trauma and Attachment (2015). Her third book, The Pocket Handbook to Sensorimotor Psychotherapy in Context, promotes a multicultural approach to psychotherapy. Couple therapy, child and family therapy, social justice, diversity, inclusion, consciousness, and the philosophical/spiritual ideas that underpin her practice are some of her current interests.
