Pat Pattison is a lyricist and poet who teaches lyric writing and poetry at Berklee College of Music. Composing Better Lyrics, The Essential Guide to Lyric Form and Structure, and The Essential Guide to Rhyming are some of his books. John Mayer, a double Grammy winner, and Gillian Welch are two of his internationally accomplished students. He is a resident of Boston, Massachusetts.
