Patty McCord was Netflix's chief talent officer for fourteen years and was instrumental in the development of the Netflix Culture Deck. The Culture Deck has been viewed over 15 million times since it was first released on the web, and Sheryl Sandberg has claimed that it may be the most important document ever to come out of Silicon Valley. Patty was a part of the Netflix and Pure Atria Software initial public offerings. She has worked with Sun Microsystems, Borland, and Seagate Technologies, as well as tiny start-ups. Her work experience includes positions in staffing, diversity, communications, and international human resources.

Patty currently works with a select group of companies and entrepreneurs on issues of culture and leadership. She also gives talks to various organizations and teams all over the world. In January 2018, Patty's book, Powerful: Creating a Culture of Freedom and Responsibility, will be released.
