Paul Horowitz

Professor of Physics at Harvard University, Paul Horowitz created the Laboratory Electronics course in 1974, from which The Art of Electronics arose. He was a forerunner in the hunt for intelligent life beyond Earth and a driving force behind SETI. Observational astrophysics, x-ray and particle microscopy, and optical interferometry are among his other research interests. He has written over 200 scientific articles and reports, provided extensive consulting to business and government, and designed a number of electronic and photographic tools.
